Key Responsibilities
Own quality from the customer's point of view: does the product actually solve the problem, does it behave the way a brand manager or creator expects, and does it hold up in real workflows — not just "do the tests pass"
Test end-to-end business flows across the platform — influencer discovery, campaign setup, creator collaboration, reporting — the way real users run them, including the messy paths
Evaluate AI-driven outputs (recommendations, matches, generated content, automated decisions) for whether they're useful and correct for the customer, not just whether they returned a result
Be the release gatekeeper: decide what's ready for customers, what isn't, and articulate the business risk clearly to product and engineering
Turn customer-facing issues into clear, reproducible reports that engineers can act on quickly, and follow them through to resolution
Build the QA process as the product and team grow — acceptance criteria, release checklists, what "done" means — there's no rulebook yet
Work closely with product, customer success, and engineering to catch problems before customers do, and feed real-world findings back into the roadmap
Required Qualifications
Hands-on QA experience on a live SaaS product with real customers — manual, exploratory, and acceptance testing
Strong product sense: you understand what users are trying to achieve and can tell the difference between "works as specified" and "works for the customer"
A sharp eye for edge cases in complex workflows with many moving parts — multiple user roles, integrations, and multi-step processes
Enough technical comfort to read logs, reproduce issues, and have a productive conversation with engineers — you don't need to write the code, but you need to understand what happened
Clear, direct communication — you flag risk early and make a case for what should and shouldn't ship
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience testing AI/LLM-powered features, where "correct" depends on judgment and context rather than a simple pass/fail
Some exposure to test automation — writing or maintaining API or UI test cases, or working alongside engineers who do
Background in marketing tech, influencer/creator platforms, marketplaces, or agency workflows
Experience writing acceptance criteria or working closely with product managers on requirements
Prior experience as the first or founding QA hire on a team
